At Joint Effort Movement Center, we love helping people figure out what their bodies are capable of.
Sometimes that means getting out of pain. Sometimes it means getting stronger. And sometimes it means finally feeling confident in your body again.
That’s why our care goes beyond physical therapy.
Our one-on-one personal training is designed to meet you where you are and help you move, feel, and perform better.
You don't have to be an athlete, a fitness expert, or someone who already loves the gym. Personal training at Joint Effort is for anyone who wants to get stronger, move better, and feel more confident in their body.
Whether it's training for a 5k, planning a European adventure, or just simply want to be healthier, our personal training may be a great option for you!

About Bennett
Born and raised on James Island, Bennett returned to Charleston after earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina. With a lifelong passion for movement, fitness, and wellness, she loves helping people become stronger, move better, and feel more confident in their bodies.
As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Bennett brings a personalized approach to one-on-one personal training in Charleston and West Ashley. Her background includes teaching small group fitness, yoga, and dance to both children and adults, giving her a broad understanding of movement, strength, mobility, and body awareness.
At Joint Effort Movement Center, Bennett works closely with our physical therapists to help bridge the gap between physical therapy and personal training. She enjoys helping clients transition back into strength training, sports, exercise, and everyday activities after physical therapy, while also working with clients who simply want to get stronger, improve their mobility, and feel better moving through life.
Whether you’re new to exercise, returning to fitness after an injury, or looking for a more individualized approach to strength training, Bennett believes personal training should be about more than just completing a workout. It’s about understanding your body, building confidence, and learning how to move in a way that works for you.

Personal Training That is Actually Personal
No cookie-cutter workouts. No crowded gym. No following someone else's program just because that's what they're doing.
At Joint Effort, personal training is exactly that: personal. Your training is built around your goals, your body, your current abilities, and where you want to go next.
Whether you're building strength, improving mobility, returning to exercise, or training for something specific, we'll meet you where you are and build from there.
What makes personal training at Joint Effort different?
The type of training we use depends on your goals, your body, and what you want to be able to do. Our personal training sessions may incorporate a combination of:
Functional Movement
Exercises that mimic the movements you use in everyday life—pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, carrying, and more. Functional movement training helps you build strength and confidence that carries over into the things you actually want to do.
Strength Training
Getting stronger is a big part of personal training. We'll help you build strength progressively and safely while making sure your workouts are appropriate for your current abilities and goals.
Balance & Stability Training
Improve balance, coordination, stability, and body awareness through exercises designed to help you feel more confident and in control of your movement.
Yoga & Mobility
Yoga-based movement can be a great tool for improving mobility, stability, breathing, body awareness, and range of motion. We'll incorporate these techniques when they make sense for your goals.
Activity-Specific Training
Training for something specific? Whether you're preparing for a 5K, getting back to your favorite sport, planning an adventure, or simply want to move better in everyday life, your training can be tailored around the activities that matter to you.
