The Joint Effort Movement Center Gal Squad

Our Story

In 2019, I was managing a clinic outside of Charleston and felt like I could make a bigger impact on my own. I was working towards becoming the first person to be certified in Postural Restoration in our state, and I knew my specialty required more than what a typical physical therapy clinic could provide.

So on a random Tuesday, I put my notice in at my job and Joint Effort Movement Center was born. I had a vision of a place where clients could benefit from not just my specialty PT, but also have access to other healing providers. Because for many of my clients, one type of treatment isn't enough, and when you have multiple providers working together towards the same goals, clients can get better faster!

But I had pennies to start a business, so I had to start small. I found a warehouse type gym with a few awesome personal trainers. Aesthetically, it didn't quite look like my vision, but I had to start somewhere. I was surrounded with great people, and a year an a half later, I had built enough clients to open my brick and mortar clinic!

Now, almost 5 years later, I have an amazing group of gals that have helped me create a very special place. We are compassionate, kind, knowledgeable, and all have the same goal for our clients - to help you feel better so you can return to your life.

Thank you for support in helping my dreams come alive. I hope you consider seeing what all we have to offer! To read more about our "Gal Squad" staff, keep on scrolling!

MEET Michael

MAINTENANCE & SUPPORT | AKA THE HONEY DO-LISTER

Michael literally keeps our clinic in working order. From fixing the washing machine, building our reception desk, painting, and moving furniture, he is a BIG help behind the scenes at our clinic.  He is one of our biggest supporters of Joint Effort, although being Courtney's husband might have a little to do with it!

When he's not completing his honey do-list for the clinic, you'll find him traveling for his actual job as a safety manager at the Hanover Company, on his boat, in the woods, watching hockey, or taking a well deserved nap!
